I am starting a post about some funny issues I have had with clothes.
There are 3 stories to share. I don't have any pictures to put with this story. I just didn't have a camera ready to snapped the wonderful event!! HA! HA! I wanted my daughter to write these stories to submit to Readers Digest – but we didn’t get it done.
So --- for your entertainment, here is story #1: My Slip Slipped
We discovered after our 1st little girl was born prematurely, that I had a little problem carrying my babies. In fact, I lost more babies that I carried to full term. To help me, they stitched me up so I could hold the baby inside. I was not restricted to bed rest – but I was told not to do anything strenuous. Mostly I was encouraged to take it easy – rest and stay off my feet if I could. Because of that I didn’t invest in very many maternity clothes because I didn’t go out much at all. I stayed home and did projects that I could do sitting.
When I was pregnant with our son, Jacob we had to move from Wyoming to Arizona. My dear friend Judy packed up my house for me and Cliff and my sister-in-laws brother drove our belongings and vehicle to AZ. I flew. One guy drove our truck & camper with Shannon and Cliff drove the big U-Haul with April.
When I was real close to delivery I decided that I would venture out and attend church with my family. Cliff and the girls would go for Primary and Sunday school and I went to join them for Sacrament Mtg. I found a half slip that I had had for a very long time that would work with my huge stomach. As I went to put it on, I discovered that it was so old that the elastic on it was crumbly. I thought – Oh Well – I’ll just tuck the slip under my bra and it should hold for that hour. I went to church and waited in the Cultural Hall for the Sunday school class to be over. Cliff and I would then go get the girls from Primary and hurry to our seats.
Now – the horror begins.
As I stood up to walk with Cliff, I felt something strange happening. My “so-called” secure slip had indeed slipped and fell to my feet. You have to understand that the Cultural Hall was the main thru way for people going into the Chapel. Although it wasn’t really busy at the time, it was a matter of seconds before it would be very busy. When I realized what had happened, Cliff also noticed something weird going on. He looked down, took a step back and said: “Wha – What is going on here?” Well, I was horrified!! So embarrassed!!! With me being at the end of the pregnancy, my emotions were at the end. I had worried about getting this baby here safely, I was hot – it was mid August – I was huge and miserable. So – I stepped out of the slip, bent down to pick it up and rushed to the bathroom. – crying. I just wanted to go home. It was so embarrassing. Instead, I put it back on and went to join my family just dying.
If anyone saw what had happened, they at least did not say anything to me about it. BLESS THOSE PEOPLE!!!!
By the time dinner was over I could sort of laugh at the experience.
Over the years I have had a couple of more experiences with clothes working against’t me. And each time I have survived and even laughed at myself. Life brings to us many events that try us and even lets us laugh at ourselves.

It's always an adventure with clothing during pregnancy, huh? :-)
Yes, but my next 2 stories I won't be able to use that for a reason. I just have an issue with clothes - so sad.
