Catch Up after Technical Difficulties

The following pictures are backwards in order in the process blooming of my magnolia flowers. I have been so excited for this tree and for theses blooms to come. I still have 1 more blossom to come. The only thing I have been sad about is that the flowers don't last but just a day or a day & a half. I think the heat is a little too much. BUT - I have been so excited to have them and to watch the process. This first picture is the flower after about 1 day.
I can now say that I have had my own magnolia tree and it has bloomed.






I can't wait until next year or whenever the next season of blooms begin. The tree has grown just a little but seems to be very happy where it is.

This is Kitty - up on the roof watching me inspect the magnolia tree. She gets up there from the big mulberry trees in the back yard. Funny girl.

And this is her new sleeping spot. I think she enjoys the cool sink now that the weather is hotter.
I had some technical difficulties that made me shut down the blog for awhile. Happy to report that all is well now and I am up and blogging again. I have been slow in posting and hope to increase that with my family pictures and some family history stories. So many pictures to scan and sort thru. But it is a fun job :)!!!
