This last weekend Cliff and I went to visit these wonderful people. Yes, Cliff was finally able to go see our new grandson. We had a blast! We drove over on Thurs. evening and arrived pooped out. But so excited to see Jimmy and give him lots of kisses and hugs.
These two are the greatest Mom & Dad. They are so fun to watch with their little baby. He definitely gets plenty of love and attention.
Cliff & I tried to give Shannon & Ryan a chance to catch up on some sleep. So - we took over baby duty at night. And we are happy to report that we still can do the baby thing. Cliff got up with him most of the time. He loved spending all the time he could with him. And Cliff was so good with him. Those two really bonded. And this picture illustrates some of that. Sacked out together early one morning.
Just hanging together.
Cliff had a special song he kept whistling and singing to Jimmy. And you can tell that Jimmy was enjoying it. Sometimes, they even danced. I loved watching them together.
We took Jimmy on a walk thru the park and the neighborhood. I guess he enjoyed - he slept the whole time. But we had fun pushing that stroller. Saturday it started to rain and rained Sunday. It made for an interesting drive home for a couple of hours.
It was Saint Patricks day when we arrived and I brought with me the cute little St. Paddy's day derby hat. So Cute!! And it is just a fluke that I even got this picture - a smile. They are hard to predict and catch with a camera. Lucky me!
We were sad to leave. And we are still having withdrawals - and can't wait to go again. Or, if we are lucky, they will come over soon to visit Arizona. Either way, we can't wait.
Being Grandparents is truly the greatest. That little guy is really special, but what grandparent doesn't think so.
We feel so blessed!
